Today is spent uncovering Fes, one of Morocco’s most ancient and iconic cities. Head deep into the alleys of the Fes el-Bali medina with a professional local guide, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll see the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the oldest continuously functioning university in the world, along with the Bou Inania Madrasa, the tanneries, the Nejjarine Fountain, and quarter for traditional hand crafts. After lunch, the road snakes north up into the Rif Mountains to the attractive little town of Chefchaouen.
