Meet nomads and visit gnawa musicians in Khamlia and also meet migratory birds at Dayet Sriji, a small Salt Lake. You will be able to see fossil workshops and may have the opportunity to traverse across black desert. Later in the afternoon you will return to Merzouga and check into your lovely kasbah-style hotel, where you can freshen up with a warm shower and dinner at your hotel with views over the dunes.
In the morning, leave Merzouga after breakfast, The first today’s stop is Rissani, a small traditional market with many past merchants of Timbuktu coming here to buy goods or simply make trades. From there head towards the amazing Todgha Gorges which are limestone river canyons of up to 300 meters, will be disembarked. Thereafter, you will have time to walk through the Gorge and appreciate the natural beauty of this dramatic landscape. This afternoon, travel through the Dades Valley, otherwise known as the ‘Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs’, and pass by mud brick forts, rose fields and palm groves.
