Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca - Visit Hassan II Mosque - Transfer to Rabat (87 km / 2 hours)

Welcome to Morocco – Upon arrival at Casablanca airport an experienced driver will be there to pick-up, if time allowing, means you may be able to visit the exceptional Hassan II Mosque, built partially over the Atlantic Ocean, this is one of the biggest mosques and certainly most beautiful in the world. Next, drive to Rabat, the Moroccan capital. Spend a relaxed evening in Rabat and, if possible, catch some other important sights like the Mausoleum of Mohammed V or Kasbah of the Udayas. Overnight stay in a Charming riad in Rabat.

Day 2:Rabat – Chefchaouen (approx. 248 km / 5–6 hours)

Today is a new day means new adventure, make a swift exit for Chefchaouen. The town is richly endowed by God – just take in the imposing Rif Mountains. One of the most picturesque places in Morocco, on arrival, allow yourself plenty of time for lunch or dinner. There are various local snacks and traditional restaurants serving typical Berber dishes awaiting those who would like to dine outdoors. A small snack on the traditional square or even dining en plein air amongst oranges trees in a nearby cafe are all good options if you get there before nightfall. You could end up the day by taking several photos. Overnight in a comfortable riad in middle of town.

Day 3:Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes (approx. 200 km / 5–6 hours)

After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and head south toward the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring well-preserved mosaics, columns, and arches. From there, continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Highlights include Bab Mansour, El Hedim Square, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Later in the afternoon, journey onward to Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and intellectual capital. Check into your traditional riad inside the medina and enjoy a free evening to relax. Overnight in Fes.

Day 4:Fes Guided City Tour

Explore Fes with a licensed local guide. Start with a panoramic photo of the city before heading to the UNESCO listed Medina, which is one of the oldest and most intact medieval cities in the world. See the Al-Qarawiyyin University, Bou Inania Madrasa, Chouara Tannery and Nejjarine Fountain etc. Stroll through the artisan quarters, the spice markets and hidden courtyards. In the afternoon, go back to your riad and rest, or venture out on your own and continue exploring the city.

Day 5:Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar Forest – Midelt – Merzouga – Camel Trek (approx. 470 km / 8–9 hours)

From Fes head south to the Sahara Desert along the way we will stops in several places no doubt the first is Ifrane often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” later continue to the famous cedar forests, here the barbary macaques’ lives feeding them is allowed but caution is advised. Furthermore, drive through the stunning Ziz Valley, bordered by palm trees and Berber towns.

In the late afternoon, we reach Merzouga located on the edge of Sahara Desert. Take a ride by camel and start crossing the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to witness an amazing sunset camping at luxurious desert camp. Have dinner under the stars, listen to traditional Berber music and spend the night in desert silence.

Day 6:Merzouga Desert Excursion & Hotel Stay

Rise early to see the sun coming up over the dunes pure desert magic. After Breakfast, spend the day in Merzouga you will take yet another journey- a round trip around meanwhile for hours then back to your hotel. Go to the village of Khamlia and experience Gnaoua people trance music. Visit a nomadic family tent, share tea with the locals and hear about how to survive in desert conditions. Visit seasonal salt lakes, fossil sites and ride on desert trails by 4×4. Head back to your camp or a nearby lodge and relax, with the option for sandboarding or an evening camel ride. Overnight in Merzouga.

Day 7:Merzouga – Rissani – Todgha Gorges – Dades Valley (approx. 270 km / 6–7 hours)

Wake up early to witness a last memorable sunrise followed with breakfast. A new day cleansed with fresh sun rises over the dunes. From there, the desert landscapes continue as you head towards Todra Gorge, a deep canyon that is surrounded by great trekking and climbing areas. Go for a short walk through the gorge then on to Boumalne Dades, which is noted for its rugged beauty, kasbahs and winding hairpin turn road in the rock formations. Stay the night at a valley-facing boutique hotel.

Day 8:Dades – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech (approx. 330 km / 6–7 hours)

In this morning, drive along the Valley of the Roses, stop at dades gorges before continuing to Ouarzazate via the Skoura palm grove was often used for movies filming. Visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage ksar that has featured in many movies and series. Following your visit of the ancient mudbrick village, you will be driving over the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi n’Tichka Pass – one of Morocco’s most scenic routes. Arrive in Marrakech early afternoon.  Check into your riad in the boisterous medina. End of your 8 Days tour from Casablanca.
